How we choose what appears on Art & I
Art & I is curated, not crowdsourced. Every institution on the app is checked by hand against the same criteria, and every automated entry carries the source link it came from.
- Programme quality — a serious, public exhibition programme with recognised artists or a distinctive curatorial voice.
- Standing in its field — museums and foundations of international or strong regional importance; galleries with an established exhibition history.
- Fairs with a vetted exhibitor list, including design and furniture fairs and prestigious satellite fairs.
- Public access — the public can visit, with published dates and a working website.
- Verifiable information — dates, location, and ticketing we can confirm at the source.
- Geographic balance — we keep the list international rather than concentrated in a few cities.
